Dispute over competing for smuggling | Brother of al-Hamza Division’ leader kills tribe dignitary in Aleppo

Aleppo province: SOHR activists have reported that a member of Shamr Tribe Council was killed by the brother of the Turkish-backed al-Hamza Division’s leader in Baza’a town, the major stronghold of al-Hamza Division in the eastern countryside of Aleppo.

According to SOHR sources, a fight took place between the killer and the victim following a dispute over competing for the using of routs used for smuggling from and to regime-held areas, as well as revenue-sharing.

On October 2, SOHR sources reported fierce clashes between al-Mujadamah tribe and al-Shamar tribe in al-Sukariyyah village in al-Bab countryside in “Euphrates Shield” areas in eastern Aleppo.

Al-Sukariyyah village is considered one of the most important villages through which the smuggling vehicles and civilians pass from regime-held areas to Turkish-backed factions-held areas and vice-versa.
