Growing tension | Regime soldier killed in rebel rocket fire on Jurin, while Russian fighter jets renew their airstrikes on “de-escalation zone”

SOHR sources have reported that a regime soldier was killed and a child was injured in rocket fire by opposition factions on Jurin area. The targeted area hosts Jurin camp which is the largest military base of regime forces in Sahl al-Ghab in Hama countryside.

 

On the other hand, Russian fighter jets renewed striking positions in the “de-escalation zone”, targeting Kaf Ammah village in western Aleppo with three airstrikes and the perimeter of a Turkish post in al-Barah area in the southern countryside of Idlib with six other airstrikes. No casualties have been reported.

 

SOHR sources have just reported that the number of airstrikes executed by Russian airstrikes with high-explosive missiles on former and abandoned headquarters of the 23rd Division nearby Qah area on the Syria border with Iskenderun region in northern Idlib rose to ten.

 

Acceding to SOHR sources, a state of panic prevailed among the inhabitants of refugee camps in areas on the Syria border with Iskenderun region due to the violent airstrikes which destroyed the headquarters completely. The explosions caused by the Russian airstrikes were heard in the Turkish city of al-Rayhaniyah. While the Russian fighter jets continued flying over the “de-escalation zone”.
