Hours after kidnapping policeman and officer | Armed group assaults police patrol outside national hospital in al-Suwidaa

Al-Suwidaa province: SOHR activists have reported that a group of gunmen affiliated to the military security service travelling in a four-wheel drive vehicles (4×4) severely beaten members of a patrol of al-Suwidaa police on Sunday.

According to SOHR activists, members of the police patrol attempted to overtake the armed group’s cars, one of which was carrying the leader of group known by his initials as R. F. before the armed men assaulted the patrol’s members in front of the gate of the National Hospital in al-Swuidaa. Although there was a police outpost affiliated to the security services at the hospital’s gate, the security men stationed there did not interfered.

That assault came a few hours after unknown armed group had broken into the petroleum company in al-Suwaidaa city where they fired bullets in the air and assaulted several civilians and employees. The attackers also kidnapped a regime officer and a policeman who were in the company and seized their car.
