Old ordnance | Young man killed in landmine explosion near borders with occupied Golan in al-Qunaitara countryside

SOHR activists have documented the death of a young man due to the explosion of an old landmine of Syrian war ordnance in al-Hamideya region in the northern countryside of al-Qunaitara near the borders with the occupied Golan.

The death is part of the continuous Syrian fatalities due to explosions of war ordnance.

Syrian Observatory activists have documented the death of 618 people, including 80 women and 222 children, by mines and IED explosions and the collapse of cracked residential buildings in several areas of the Syrian territory in Homs, Hama, Deir Ezzor, Aleppo and the Syrian South since early January 2019.
