Old ordnance | Landmine explosion wounded civilians including child in Afrin countryside

Aleppo province: SOHR activists have reported that four civilians including a child and two members of rescue teams have sustained different injures in an explosion of an old landmine, near the road’s side in Qulian Tahtani village in Rajo district in Afrin countryside, while they were pulling a broken car belonging to a civilian.

Syrian Observatory has documented the death of over 221 civilians, including 23 women and 107 children, due to these explosions since early 2021. Moreover, these explosions left over 130 civilians injured, some seriously.

Among the total death toll, there are 44 persons, including 13 women and five children, who were killed during their search and collection of the truffle which grows in the areas that is subjected to heavy rain, and it is sold at very high prices.
