Security chaos in Deir Ezzor | Former SDF fighter and ex-ISIS member assassinated, while clashes among oil smugglers leave four injured

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR activists reported two separate assassinations which targeted a former fighter of Syria Democratic Forces and a former ISIS member. According to SOHR sources, a former SDF fighter from the village of al-Jalamdah, west of Deir Ezzor, was shot dead by unidentified gunmen riding a motorcycle on the road between al-Jiaah and al-Jalamdah villages, near his home.

 

In addition, a young man who had been an ISIS member was also shot dead by unknown gunmen in al-Busaira city.

 

Separately, four people were wounded due to an armed family fight among smugglers that took place this evening in front of al-Qaysar bread bakery at the roundabout of al-Busaira bridge due to a dispute over fuel smuggling into regime-controlled areas in Deir Ezzor.

 

As more fatalities are recorded and updated regularly, the number of people who were killed in areas within the four provinces of Aleppo, Deir Ezzor, Al-Raqqah and Al-Hasakah, in addition to the SDF-held area of Manbij in the north-east of Aleppo rose to 818 fighters, civilians, oil workers, and officials in service parties.

 

The Syrian Observatory documented the assassination of 300 civilians including 18 children and 15 women by armed cells in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, al-Hasakah countryside, al-Raqqah city and countryside, and Manbij area. In addition, 513 SDF fighters, including local leaders, were assassinated in the same areas.

 

Also, four members of International Coalition were killed. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights Human also documented tens of injuries due to these assassinations.
