Al-Qamishly Airport | Russian forces conduct new military exercises

SOHR activists reported hearing explosions in the past few hours in al-Qamishly city due to military exercises by the Russian forces stationed in al-Qamishly Airport in light of the ongoing escalating maneuvers and activities since the media channels reported an anticipated Turkish military operation targeting north and east Syria.

It is worth noting the al-Qamishly Airport is used by the Russians and hosts at least four helicopters and lately arrived military warplane with the beginning of the exercises operation.

On Nov.2, SOHR sources reported new military manoeuvres by Russian forces in the east of Ras al-Ain, the capital of the Autonomous Administration in northern and north-eastern Syria. During today’s manoeuvres, the Russian helicopters struck abandoned areas.

A few hours ago, SOHR activists reported that Russian air and ground forces would start military maneuvers in Ain al-Arab (Kobani) countryside today, particularly in Abou Sourah and Sareen regions. It is worth noting that one fighter jet and two helicopters would take part in the maneuvers.
