Along with flights by unidentified drones | Smoke plumes rise in area on Syria-Iraq border, east of Deir Ezzor

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR activists have reported seeing smoke plumes rising in areas controlled by Iranian-backed militias near the Syria-Iraq border, opposite al-Baghouz town, the latest ISIS stronghold in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.

 

The rising of smoke plums in that area coincided with flights by unidentified drones over the area. However, it is not known yet if the smoke was caused by strikes by these drones or not.

 

On November 7, SOHR activists, in west Euphrates that became Iranian colony on Syrian lands, that factions affiliated to Iran had started days ago intensive redeployment in cities and villages along the road from al-Mayadeen to al-Bokamal at Iraqi-Syrian borders in east Deir Ezzor countryside. The activities are considered as a repeated operation for camouflage over fears of the repeated targets by the Israeli side and the International Coalition.

 

The redeployment operations are conducted through exchanging posts, positions and forces. Also, the factions bring in military reinforcement daily to their posts and positions and fortify those position continuously.
