Escalating security chaos in SDF-held areas | Woman killed and gets her jewelry stolen in Deir Ezzor countryside

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR activists have reported that a 25 year-old displaced woman from al-Mayadeen was killed in al-Busayra city in Deir Ezzor countryside.

 

According to local sources, two unidentified women were accused of the murder, as they had entered the victim’s house, which is next to the culture center in al-Busayra, this morning.

 

When the victim’s husband returned from work this evening, he found her wife slaughtered with a sharp tool. Moreover, her jewelry and all the money they had in the house were stolen.

 

This development came in light of the ongoing security chaos in SDF-held areas, while ISIS cells have been prevalent throughout Deir Ezzor countryside, attacking civilians and SDF fighters.

 

As more fatalities are recorded and updated regularly, the number of people who were killed in areas within the four provinces of Aleppo, Deir Ezzor, Al-Raqqah and Al-Hasakah, in addition to the SDF-held area of Manbij in the north-east of Aleppo rose to 821 fighters, civilians, oil workers, and officials in service parties.

 

The Syrian Observatory documented the assassination of 303 civilians including 18 children and 16 women by armed cells in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, al-Hasakah countryside, al-Raqqah city and countryside, and Manbij area. In addition, 513 SDF fighters, including local leaders, were assassinated in the same areas.

 

Also, four members of International Coalition were killed. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights Human also documented tens of injuries due to these assassinations.
