Looting olive harvest | Likewise Turkish-backed factions, “Syrian National Army” loots olive harvest after arrival to Afrin

Aleppo province: SOHR activists have reported the deployment of regime soldiers who arrived during the past few hours, in the farm fields in Aleppo countryside to loot the olive crops.

According to sources, elements in the Armored Brigade of the 3rd Division gathered in Soughanka village yesterday evening, and the explosive experts detonated landmines near the frontlines with Turkish-backed factions to facilitate looting process the harvest, in addition to detonating landmines in the vicinity of some houses to guarantee safe arrival of regime forces from their positions to the olive farms.

It is worth noting that the olive trees in the region are difficult to be picked by civilians, due to its close position near the frontlines and the danger of moving around that region.

In return, the olive trees and properties of Afrin inhabitants on the opposite side to Turkish-held areas are also subject to systematic looting by these factions, without any supervision or being hold accountable over these violations.

Earlier today, SOHR activists reported that regime forces had brought in large military reinforcements to northern Aleppo countryside region adjacent to the frontlines with Turkish-backed factions.

According to SOHR sources, the new military reinforcements comprised tanks, personnel carriers, soldiers and logistics. The reinforcements that belong to the Armored Brigade of the 3rd Division, arrived in the areas since yesterday night till today afternoon amid strict security measures.

SOHR sources confirmed that the regime forces will deploy along the frontlines with Turkish-backed factions in Shirawa district in Afrin countryside.

This is the fourth reinforcement that entered the region since the Turkish media escalated its propaganda about anticipated military operation for targeting Turkish forces-held areas in north Aleppo countryside.
