As Russian-Turkish joint patrols suspended for weeks | Russian military police tour villages in north al-Hasakah countryside alone

SOHR activists have reported that Russian military police conducted a patrol, this morning, in the south, east, and west of Derbasia district in Al-Hasaka province, near the Syria-Turkey border, as joint patrols by Russian and Turkish forces in the area have been suspended for nearly three weeks.

This event comes in light of media reports on a imminent military attack by Turkish forces and their proxy factions in SDF-held areas, east of  Euphrates region.

It is worth noting that Turkish forces and Russian police have conducted several joint patrols since late 2019 in accordance with the Sochi Agreement to make sure that Syria Democratic Forces withdrew from the border areas.
