Rising tensions | Clashes between two groups of al-Hamza Division renew in Ras al-Ain (Sere Kaniye)

Al-Hasakah province: SOHR activists have reported that clashes renewed between two groups of the Turkish-backed al-Hamza Division in Ras al-Ain (Sere Kanye) in al-Hasakah countryside.

 

The clashes, which left human casualties, followed the ongoing tension between both groups for days.

 

On November 12, SOHR activists reported violent clashes between two armed groups of the Turkey-backed al-Hamzah Division near the silos of Ras al-Ain (Sere Kanye) in Peace Spring region in al-Hasakah countryside. The clashes of unknown sources killed militants and wounded another.

 

On November 11, SOHR sources reported clashes among groups of Turkish-backed factions in “Peace Spring” areas in al-Raqqah countryside.

 

According to SOHR sources, a group of Ahrar al-Sharqiyyah and another group of al-Sham Corps clashed with medium and heavy weapons in Ain Issa, Sherkirek, Hammam al-Turkman in the northern countryside of al-Raqqah, as the members of Ahrar al-Sharqiyyah were attempting to seize the headquarters of “Liwaa al-Khattab” operating under the banner of al-Sham Corps and the headquarters of a groups affiliated to the same faction led by a commander called “Abu Jihad”.

 

The clashes left several people injured, including a civilian, in Sherkirek village, while seven members of “Liwaa al-Khattab” were injured in clashes in Hammam al-Turkman town.

 

Moreover, Ahrar al-Sharqiyyah have captured three members of “Liwaa al-Khattab” in Hammam al-Turkman in Tel Abyad countryside, while they were attempting to repel an attack on the presser.

 

Also, members of Ahrar al-Sharqiyyah beat a civilian brutally for preventing him from breaking into the presser in Hammam al-Turkman.

 

Meanwhile, a commander of Ahrar al-Sharqiyyah has threatened to capture the headquarters of al-Sham Corps and expelling its members from the region.
