Homs city | Young man killed in grenade explosion in central Syria

SOHR activists have documented the death of a young man affected by wounds he sustained by explosion of a grenade that was thrown by unknown persons in al-Abasyiah neighbourhood in Homs city which is under the control of Syrian regime over a fight erupted earlier in the same neighbourhood.

 

SOHR sources had reported that a man from Wadi Birda area was found dead with gunshot wounds on his body in al-Demas area in Rif Dimashq on November 11. Security services arrested the victim’s son, who was a soldier of the regime army. During the investigation, the soldier acknowledged of killing his father, with a gunshot at head, as he was under the influence of alcohol.

 

While on November 3, SOHR activists reported that a man from al-Nashabiyyah town in eastern Ghouta in Rif Dimashq had killed his five-year-old daughter who lived with her father and her step-mother, before he buried her secretly in the town.

 

Some residents saw the father while he was digging a grave for his dead daughter, so they informed the security services in the region. After arresting the man, he acknowledged of killing the little girl by hitting her with a pickaxe at her head after he had tided her hands. The security services and forensic team retrieved the body of the girl, where marks of brutal torture and burns were obvious on the body. The girl’s mother who had divorced from the killer and moved to Da’el town in Daraa countryside was informed of the death of her daughter, where the victim’s uncles transported her body to the town where her mother lived, and they buried her.
