Syrian desert | ISIS attacks positions of regime forces and their proxy militias in al-Raqqah and Deir Ezzor

Exploiting the foggy weather, ISIS has launched a large-scale attack, in the early hours of Tuesday morning, on positions of regime forces and their proxies in south Deir Ezzor desert, Ghanem Ali village and al-Rasafa desert in al-Raqqah countryside. The attack has left casualties among regime forces which brought in significant military reinforcement to attacked positions.

Observatory sources reported earlier today that four Russian fighter jets consecutively bombed ISIS hideouts in the area from Palmyra desert, east of Homs, to Jabal al-Beshry area, west of Deir Ezzor with more than 25 airstrikes. Meanwhile, several reconnaissance drones are flying over the Syrian desert

These airstrikes come in the light of ISIS escalating attacks against regime forces and and their proxies.
