SOHR: Violent explosions heard in Abu Kamal, where Iranian groups positioned

The sounds of strong explosions were heard from the Al-Katif area on the outskirts of the city of Albu Kamal in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, which contains headquarters and ammunition depots belonging to groups loyal to Iran, in conjunction with the flight of unidentified drones over the area.

 

Strong explosions were heard from the Al-Katif area on the outskirts of the city of Albu Kamal in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, which contains headquarters and ammunition depots belonging to groups loyal to Iran.  It was reported by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

On the 15th of November, 8 violent explosions took place in the city, east of Deir ez-Zor, as a result of attacks by drones of Iranian groups’ sites in the area, which led to the destruction of a headquarters containing weapons and ammunition.
This came days after the Iranian groups’ banners were removed from some of their military posts and headquarters in the city of Al-Bukamal, and replaced with the internationally recognized Syrian flags.  Fear of being targeted.
According to the observatory, 9 air strikes were detected on the sites of groups affiliated with Iran during the period from 4 September of this year until mid-November.
Those nine targets left 14 Syrian and non-Syrian pro-Iranian groups dead, in addition to more than 27 wounded of different nationalities, some of them in critical condition, in addition to destroying and wounding at least 11 targets.
In addition, the groups affiliated with Iran bring military reinforcements on a daily basis to their sites and points, and fortify those sites and points further.
