After two-day suspension | Russian jets renew strikes on ISIS hideouts in Syrian desert.

Russian fighter jets re-target ISIS hideouts in Syrian desert. In the early hours of Monday morning, three Russian fighter jets have consecutively bombed ISIS positions from the Aleppo-Raqqa-Hama triangle through the eastern desert of Homs to the Deir Ezzor and Raqqa desert, with nearly 20 airstrikes. However, no casualties have been reported.

Accordingly, the number of Russian strikes which targeted scattered ISIS hideouts in the Syrian desert since early November has exceeded 450.

The Russian airstrikes were concentrated on the area from east Hama desert to al-Rasafah desert in al-Raqqah running through Ithirya and al-Rahjan, and large spaces of Palmyra and Deir Ezzor desert. These airstrikes coincided with routine combing operations by regime forces in searching for ISIS cells in several positions in the Syrian desert.
