26th Israeli attack in 2021 | Missiles hit pro-Hezbollah militias’ positions in suburbs in west Homs city
As Israel continues its violations against Syria’ sovereignty with no reaction by the Syrian regime, as always, SOHR activists have reported that Israeli missiles fired from Lebanese airspace in the early hours of Wednesday morning, targeting suburbs in west Homs city, where headquarters and positions of the Lebanese Hezbollah-backed militias and the Syrian Hezbollah are located, including al-Mazraa village.
Meanwhile, regime air defenses tried to intercept the Israeli missiles, as SOHR activists reported hearing explosions in the western part of the city.
The Israeli attack has left at least four people dead and others injured. Two of the victims were killed in the western districts, and two were killed by shrapnel of rockets fired by regime defenses and Israel, that hit an area near a petrol station on Trablus road in Homs city.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has yet to obtain confirmed reports on the targeted sites and the damage casued by the Israeli attack.
It is worth mentioning that this is the 26th Israel attack in Syrian territory in 2021, six of them hit Homs province. The latest attack occurred a few weeks ago.
On November 8, SOHR activists reported that missiles coming from the airspace of north Lebanon hit areas hosting military barracks, the headquarters of a regime-backed prominent military formation and al-Shayrat airbase where the Lebanese Hezbollah and Iranian-backed militias were stationed in the south-eastern countryside of Homs.
