Indiscriminate gunfire | Woman killed in clashes between regime forces and tribesmen in Daraa

Daraa province: SOHR activists have reported that a woman from al-Mansoura village in al-Suwaydaa countryside, died affected by the wounds she sustained this morning due to indiscriminate gunfire during clashes between regime forces and anti-reconciliation tribesmen in Nahta town in the eastern Daraa countryside.

Moreover, regime forces looted tribesmen’s properties, including cars and livestock, in the east of Nahta town on Sama road in al-Suwaydaa.

Earlier today, SOHR activists reported that the number of casualties among anti-reconciliation groups has risen to four, after they were sieged by regime forces in the farms of Nahta Sharqiya town, in the eastern Daraa countryside.

SOHR activists had reported that three of the anti-reconciliation groups were killed and another one was wounded after all besieged by the regime forces since the early hours of Wednesday morning in the farms of Nahta Sharqiya town, in the eastern countryside in Daraa.

The sources added that regime forces evacuated the site of the bodies while more military reinforcement were brought into the region.

Accordingly, the number of people who were killed across Daraa province since the start of the recent agreements has risen to 61. The fatalities were distributed as follows:

• 31 civilians, including a child, some of them were former fighter and gave up fighting after striking reconciliation deals in 2018.

• 26 regime soldiers, members of the Russian-backed 5th Corps and regime “collaborators”.

• Four anti-reconciliations local militant.

Earlier, SOHR activists reported that regime forces imposed a siege on the farms of Nahta Sharqiya town, in the eastern countryside in Daraa, where the militant groups had rejected to strike settlements with Russian guarantees.

It is worth noting that the clashes have been running. SOHR reliable sources confirmed that the clashes left causalities.

Since the beginning of the security chaos in Daraa in early June 2019, Syrian Observatory activists have documented more than 1,243 attacks and assassination attempts by gunfire and detonations of IEDs, motorcycle-bombs and car-bombs. These attacks and assassinations claimed the lives of 902 persons, categorized as follows:

• Four anti-reconciliations local militant.

• 278 civilians, including 14 women and 16 children

• 403 regime soldiers, loyalists and collaborators with regime security services

• 155 fighters of factions that struck “reconciliation and settlements” deals with the regime and became in the ranks of regime’s security branches, including former commanders

• 27 Syrian militiamen affiliated to the Lebanese Hezbollah and Iranian forces

• 35 members of the so-called 5th Corps which was established by Russia.
