Three years of detention | old man from eastern Ghouta died under torture in regime prison

Rif Dimashq province: SOHR activists have documented the death of an old man from Hazza town in Eastern Ghouta, under torture in regime’s prisons, after he had been arrested three years ago. His arrest came after the regime took control of Eastern Ghouta in March 2018.

Recently, his family has been informed of his death under torture in the notorious “human slaughterhouse” Sednaya prison.

It is worth noting that SOHR has documented the death of 47,510 civilians under torture in regime’s prisons since the beginning of the Syrian revolution, all documented by names: 47,107 men and young men, 339 children under the age of eighteen, and 64 women over the age of eighteen.
