US missile attack in Syria | Tight security still prevents damage assessment

Nearly 20 hours have passed since US forces, stationed at al-Tanaf base, launched long-range missiles towards the Syrian desert. However, no confirmed information has been obtained about resulted damages.

SOHR sources have confirmed that the US missiles fell in the desert of Iran-backed militias areas. However, strengthened security cordon and the mobilization of the militias have prevented damage assessment.

Yesterday, SOHR activists monitored that the United States forces stationed at al-Tanaf base in the 55-kilometre zone on Syria-Iraq-Jordan border triangle, launched four long-range missiles towards the west of its base. However, it is not known if the missiles hit Iran-backed militias’ positions or ISIS hideouts in Syrian desert and its surroundings
This came with flights by fighter jets of the International Coalition in the airspace of the 55-kilometre zone.
