The Islamic State State in Manbej destroy antiquities stoled from Palmyra

SOHR activists were informed that IS members whipped a man in the center of Menbej city in the northeast countryside of Aleppo on charge of “smuggling antiquities from the city of Palmyra”, these antiquities had been smashed by IS militants and forced the man to smash other pieces by himself, amid tens of people watching including kids.
Local sources reported that the smuggler man was unidentified and its unknown whether these antiquities are real or not, also it is unknown whether the Islamic State have smashed false pieces so it open the door to smuggle the real ones by itself, because IS have sold antiquities stolen from Syria and Iraq to Syria’s neighboring countries.
