Jandarma crimes | Civilian dies while trying to sneak into Turkey

 

Al-Hasakah province: SOHR activists have reported that a civilian died affected by neck fracture and severe beating that he sustained by Turkish Jandarma today, when he attempted to enter Turkey through al-Arada village, north of Abu Rassin district in al-Hasakah province.

SOHR activists had reported that a civilian known by his initials as “A.N.” suffered fractures in the neck, arm and leg by the Turkish Jandarma, while he was trying to cross the borders via smuggling from Syria to Turkey in al-Arada village northern of Abu Rassin district in al-Hasakah province.

According to sources, three persons from al-Shadadi region tried to cross the borders through al-Arada village, where two of them succeeded in crossing to Turkey, while the third was caught by Turkish Jandarma and got severely beaten with sticks, rifle stocks, kicks and punches and got thrown back to Syrian. Residents of the region took him to al-Dirbaseya dispensary to receive first aid.

According to Syrian Observatory statistics, the number of Syrian civilians who have been killed by the Turkish Jandarma since the beginning of the Syrian Revolution, has risen to 492 including 90 children under the age of eighteen and 45 females over the age of eighteen.
