A day after arrival of reinforcement in Al-Raqqah | Iranian-backed militias send weapons to Palmyra

Reliable sources have told SOHR that five trucks carrying weapons and ammunition have arrived in Al-Talilah centre where Iranian-backed local militias are stationed in the east of Palmyra city in the east Homs countryside. According to SOHR sources, the load of these trucks was covered with fodder as a part of camouflage. While other trucks carrying heavy diggers came from Al-Bokamal in Deir Ezzor countryside to that centre later.

It is worth noting that the area hosting Al-Talilah centre had been a natural reserve. After the withdrawal of ISIS from that area, Iranian-backed militias turned the area into a military post with a centre for training the new recruits.

Yesterday, SOHR sources confirmed that trucks belonging to Iranian-backed militias transported weapons and ammunition, including medium-range Iranian-made missiles, from warehouses in Athar Al-Shabli area in Al-Mayadeen desert in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor to the militias’ positions in Maadan in Al-Raqqah desert. It is worth noting that the trucks were escorted by guards of the Iranian-backed militias.

This development coincided with the heavy attacks on Iranian-backed militias in the recent time.
