Over opening smuggling crossing | Four wounded in clashes between National Defense and Iranian militia in Deir Ezzor countryside

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR activists have reported clashes between regime-controlled National Defense forces and Iranian Revolutionary Guards militia in al-Esharah city in east Deir Ezzor countryside.

According to sources, the clashes took place after the National Defense opened a smuggling crossing between the regime-controlled and SDF-controlled areas. The move was rejected by the Iranian factions who expelled the regime affiliated forces from the region causing clashes between the two sides on Ibn Esood road near al-Gam’yah neighborhood in al-Esharah city.

On the other hand, Iranian factions have brought in military reinforcement to expel the National Defense forces. Clashes continue between the two sides amid military security interventions.

The clashes left four persons wounded from both sides, machinegun-loaded vehicle of the National Defense broken while the regime forces escaped the scene.
