Afrin violations | Selling of displaced people’s properties alarmingly increases

"Al-Jabha Al-Shamiyyah" takes over house of civilian died under torture in Al-Ra’i prison

Aleppo province: As Turkish-backed factions continue seizure and selling of properties of Afrin’s civilians, who have been forced to displace during “Olive Branch” operation, SOHR sources have reported that members of “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiyyah” have seized a house in al-Ashrafiyyah neighbourhood in Afrin city. The seized house belonged to a civilian who had fled from Afrin to Turkey following threats by “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiyyah” to arrest him for “dealing with the Autonomous Administration”.

Moreover, “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiyyah” has seized the house of a civilian from Bozikiyah village and looted all its contents. The civilian had been died under torture in al-Ra’i prison, run and supervised by factions close to the Turkish Intelligence a few days earlier, after being arrested for “dealing with the former Autonomous Administration”.

On November 23, members of “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiyyah” sold two houses in Al-Ashrafiyyah neighbourhood in Afrin city to displaced people from eastern Ghouta. Furthermore, a commander of the same faction sold a house in Al-Mahmoudiyyah, belonging to a civilian from Hassan Dayra village, for 1,400 USD.
