Anti-ISIS campaign in Syrian Desert | Russian jets target Ithariya-Khanaser road

Three Russian fighter jets have conducted more than ten raids near Athriya-Khanaser road in the Syrian desert amid scouting drones flying over the region for the second consecutive day.

Yesterday, SOHR sources reported that a squadron of ten Russian fighter jets executed nearly 40 airstrikes on the Syrian desert since morning, targeting ISIS positions and hideouts near Ithariya-Khanaser road, exactly the area from Hama countryside to Aleppo countryside. No further details were reported about the number of casualties and material damage caused by the recent airstrike.

Accordingly, the number of Russian airstrikes which targeted scattered ISIS hideouts in the Syrian desert since early November has exceeded 610.
