New infighting | Iranian-backed militiamen wounded in Deir Ezzor

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR activists have documented the injury of three Iranian-backed local militiamen, one seriously, due to disputes over revenue-sharing of stolen copper from a power transformer in Al-Hawiqa Al-Sharqiyah neighbourhood in Deir Ezzor.

This came in light of the increasing influence of Iranian backed militias in their areas.

On November 19, SOHR sources reported that Iranian-backed militiamen have beaten a shepherd in al-Majoudah town in al-Bokamal city, before they forced him to take off his clothes and seized several sheep. The militiamen refused to give back the shepherd’s clothes, before they left the area.
