To release “Shumar” tribe dignitary | Regime forces negotiate with Internal Security Forces “Asayish”

Al-Hasakah province: SOHR activists have reported that regime forces are negotiating with the Internal Security Forces “Asayish” to release one of “Shumar” tribe’s dignitaries, who was arrested by Asayish Forces, while he was heading to Al-Qamishly airport.

According to sources, the detainee is from Tel Joker town, and he is a businessman and close to high-ranking figures in the Syrian regime including the head of the National Security Office the Major General “Ali Mamlouk”, and the “Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants “Bashar al-Jaafari”.

Earlier today, SOHR sources reported that members of the Internal Security Forces “Asayish” stationed at a checkpoint in Al-Qamishli city arrested a pro-regime dignitary of Shumar tribe, while he was heading to the airport to fly to Damascus. However, the reasons behind arresting the man remained unknown.
