Aleppo province: AS Ankara-backed armed factions continue their violations against civilians in the areas under their control, SOHR activists have reported that an armed group of the Military Police have arrested a bakery guard in al-Bab city, east of Aleppo, after he has been severely beaten during his arrest.
The guard’s arrest came with direct orders from the commander of the Military Police Branch in al-Bab city, due to the guard preventing armed members from entering the bakery.
Yesterday, SOHR sources in Al-Bab city in the eastern countryside of Aleppo reported that Ahrar Al-Sham released a merchant and his son, after paying a ransom of an estimated 30 USD, as they were arrested nearly a week ago in the city.
According to SOHR sources, a member of Ahrar Al-Sham known as “Abu Dajanah” formed a kidnap gang with the aim to collect ransoms from civilians. The gang comprises tens of militiamen and travel in “Santa Fe” cars, searching for rich civilians and merchants in order to kidnap them and blackmail their families to get ransoms in return for their release.
