Growing security chaos in Al-Suwaydaa | Unidentified man found dead near regime military position

Al-Suwaydaa province: SOHR activists have reported that civilians have found an unidentified man dead and handcuffed near a regime military base on the road of Khalkhala town in the northern countryside of Al-Suwaydaa, where the body was transferred to the hospital to be identified.

Al-Suwaydaa province is witnessing a state of security chaos similar to all Syrian regions under different powers, in addition to the “kidnaping” phenomenon that is widespread in the province.

According to SOHR statistics, 64 people, including four children were kidnapped and documented by names in Al-Suwaidaa province in 2021. However, SOHR confidently estimates that the total number of kidnapped people is much higher.

Collecting ransoms, retaliation and personal disputes were the prominent motivations behind most of these kidnappings.
