Afrin violations | “Military police” release civilian for $1000 while Turkish forces arrest woman and three men

Aleppo province: SOHR activists have reported that Turkish forces stationed at security checkpoints at the entrances to Afrin city arrested two civilians from Ashkan Gharbi on 3 December for unknown reasons, as the forces took him to an unknown destination.

On December 1, “Military Police” had released a member of local council from Yilanguza village in Jinderes district, who was arrested by a joint patrol of Turkish Intelligence and Military Police on November 21 for unknown reasons, after his family paid USD 1,000.

On November 26, a joint patrol of Turkish Intelligence and civil police arrested a civilian and his wife from Darkira village in Maabatli district, from their workplace in Afrin city, without knowing the charge against them, according to SOHR sources.
