After graffiti by ISIS spotted in SDF-held areas | Deir Ezzor countryside experiences three attacks and assassination attempts

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR sources have reported that unknown gunmen on a motorcycle opened fire on a civilian in Al-Sarrah area between Gharanij and Al-Kishkiyya, while he was traveling in his car. Exchange of fire erupted between the civilian and the attackers, which resulted in the injury of one of the attackers.

On the other hand, clashes with machineguns erupted between unidentified gunmen and SDF fighters stationed in a post in the water station in Al-Zarr village in Deir Ezzor, which caused material damage only.

Accordingly, the number of attacks in SDF-held areas in Deir Ezzor countryside has reached three, after graffiti signed by ISIS were spotted in these areas and it read “down with Russia and the USA – Oh cross worshipers, your death is coming – Islamic State will remain”.

A few hours ago SOHR activists reported that unidentified gunmen fired RPG shells on SDF bases in Al-Busayra city in eastern Deir Ezzor.

The attack was followed by clashes with heavy machineguns between SDF members and the unidentified gunmen, which left a civilian dead and other civilians living near the site injured.

This development coincided with prevalence of ISIS cells in SDF-controlled areas.
