Old ordnance | Unexploded projectiles explode in Daraa countryside, injuring three children

SOHR sources have reported that three children sustained various injuries due to the explosions of unexploded projectiles in agriculture plains in Kafr Shams town in the northern countryside of Daraa.

It is worth noting that the old ordnance is everywhere in areas which have experienced military operations across Syria, which poses threats to the safety and lives of civilians, especially children.

On December 10, SOHR activists documented the death of a child and injury of three others due to the explosion of an old landmine in Marrat village in east Deir Ezzor countryside.

Syrian Observatory activists have documented the death of 641 people, including 82 women and 235 children, by mines and IED explosions and the collapse of cracked residential buildings in several areas of the Syrian territory in Homs, Hama, Deir Ezzor, Aleppo and the Syrian South since early January 2019.
