“Reconciliation card” not recognised | Regime arrests ex-official of ISIS accountability “hisbah” council in Deir Ezzor

Deir Ezzor province: Regime forces stationed at panorama checkpoint at the entrance to Deir Ezzor city have arrested an official of Hisbah board of IS during its control over areas in Deir Ezzor province, following striking the reconciliation deal in Al-Mayadeen city, SOHR activists reported.

SOHR sources say, the former official of Hisbah board showed his “reconciliation” card for the members in Panorama checkpoint after he was leaving Al-Mayadeen city and heading to Deir Ezzor city. He was severely beaten by regime forces, and they refused to recognize his “reconciliation” card, taking him to an unknown destination.

This comes in the light of the “reconciliation deals” conducted by the regime forces in Al-Mayadeen and Deir Ezzor cities, the most recent of which were “reconciliation deals” in Al-BoKamal city, which were initiated by the regime forces and their security services on December7. While it is still going on to the moment, in the presence of local members affiliated with Iranian militias, and other members and leaders of ISIS.

On December 5, SOHR activists reported that an Iranian-backed commander called “Al-Haji Askar” in the city of Al-Bokamal, east of Deir Ezzor, rejected to open the halls for the regime forces in order to conduct “reconciliation deals” scheduled to be held tomorrow for unknown reasons. Thus, the regime forces set tents at the entrance of Deir Ezzor city.

On November 28, SOHR activists reported that over 1,000 persons stroke “Settlements” in the reconciliation center in al-Mayadin city in Deir Ezzor countryside, after regime intelligence called for striking settlements a few days ago.

According to sources, nearly 1,050 persons, including former elements of the anti-regime factions, regime defectors, weapon dealers, and suspects on terrorism charges from different areas of Dier Ezzor countryside, underwent reconciliation deals in the city center that was established by regime intelligence on November 25.

It is worth noting that al-Nahr road in al-Mayadin city was closed due to overcrowding in front of the reconciliation center, where the vicinity of the Inaash center and al-Nahr road in al-Mayadin city witnessed high-security alert by regime soldiers.
