Responding to attack on official in “Asayish” | Residents block the main road in town in Deir Ezzor countryside

Deir Ezzor Province: SOHR activists have monitored growing tension in Ghranij in Deir Ezzor countryside, after members of the “SDF” tried to block the car of an official in the Internal Security Forces “Asayish” who refused to stop, so the “SDF” members opened fire on him, causing material damages.

In this context, armed men from Ghranij gathered and blocked the main road in the town, threatening to attack every SDF military vehicle, in response to the attack on the Asayish official.

Yesterday, SOHR activists reported that SDF forces backed by Counter-Terrorism Special Units (H.A.T.) continued the security campaign in Al-Busayra city in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside, where they set up security checkpoints and blocked roads to the city and arrested several people on charge of “belonging to ISIS.”
