While civilians flee from regime-held areas | Syrian regime announce opening new crossing in Idlib

Pro-regime media outlets propagandized the opening of Al-Tanabah crossing near Saraqib city with the aim to allow high-school students who wanted to have their exams of the second term in regime-held areas.

Meanwhile, SOHR activists have confirmed that no civilians or students have crossed into regime-held areas through this crossing. The sources also confirmed that the crossing is located in a military zone hosting no civilians.

On the other hand, residents expressed their discontent regarding the attempts by Russian and regime forces to force the displaced civilians in Idlib to return to regime-held areas through bombardment and airstrikes at a time when thousands of residents flee from the deteriorating economic hardship and corruption in regime-held areas daily.

It is worth noting that there are several universities in north-west Syria, including Idlib University which is affiliated to the “Salvation Government” and Aleppo University which is affiliated to the “Syrian Interim Government”, as well as many private universities supervised by academic professors.
