Renewed offensive | Russian jets hit ISIS hideouts in Syrian desert

Russian fighter jets have renewed their intensive airstrikes on the Syrian desert in the past hours, targeting caves and hideouts of ISIS in the western desert of Deir Ezzor and Al-Raqqa desert. These airstrikes have left casualties.

On December 12, SOHR sources reported that Russian fighter jets executed eight airstrikes on Al-Masrab desert in Deir Ezzor countryside, after they suspended their aerial operations for over 24 hours.

On the other hand, regime forces and their proxies brought in military reinforcement to their positions in Al-Masrab desert following ISIS attack on positions of regime forces and the Palestinian Liwaa Al-Quds. The attack had left nearly 25 regime soldiers and loyalists dead and wounded.
