Simalka border crossing | Forces of Kurdistan Region of Iraqi disperse Syrian protestors by force

SOHR activists have reported that security forces of the Kurdistan Region in Iraq have dispersed protests staged at Simalka crossing bridge linking areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration with the Kurdistan region.

The protestors demanded receiving of bodies of their sons who served in the ranks of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party “PKK” and had been killed by the Peshmerga forces in Qandil Mountains.

According to SOHR, several protesters were injured during the attempt by security forces of the Kurdistan region to disperse the demonstration, and they were dispatched to fields hospitals in Al-Malikiyah city (Dayrik) in Al-Hasakah countryside.
