Peace Spring areas | US forces comb a village experiencing continuous Turkish attacks in Tal Tamr countryside

Al-Hasakah province: SOHR activists have reported that six armoured vehicles of the US-led International Coalition, escorted by SDF, have toured Al-Derdarah village in north Tal Tamr countryside in Al-Hasakah province this afternoon. This is the first US activity in that area since Turkey captured areas in north-east Syria  during the “Peace Spring” operation in October 2019.

SOHR activists reported that the US forces have stopped for an hour in Al-Derdarah village that has been under continuous and violent Turkish attacks. Shortly after the US vehicles withdrew from the village, Turkish forces stationed in Al-Rashidyah village fired flares.

Al-Derdarah village is located near the Russian based in Al-Mabaqer on the frontline separating areas under the control of SDF and the Syrian regime from areas controlled by Turkish forces and factions.
