Al-Hasakah province: SOHR activists have reported that Turkish forces have fired heavy artillery shells on Um Al-Kaif village, hitting a power plant feeding Tel Tamr town and its countryside with electricity, which caused material damage to the power plant and a blackout in Tel Tamr in the north western countryside of Al-Hasakah.
It is worth noting that Turkish forces stationed in “Peace Spring” areas frequently shell Tel Tamr.
This is the second Turkish shelling in less than one week.
On December 13, SOHR sources reported that the Turkish forces fired heavy artillery shells on Tel Karabit, Um Al-Kaif and Tel Goma’a villages in the north western countryside of Tel Tamr, damaging the electricity network that feeds the electricity station in Tel Tamr.
