Ongoing fortification | Regime forces plant nearly 2,300 landmines on frontlines of Ain Issa countryside

Al-Raqqah province: SOHR activists have reported that regime forces have brought in eight trucks carrying military supplies to Ain Issa countryside northern of Al-Raqqah province.

The trucks passed through Al-Tabaqa crossing towards the frontlines with Turkish forces and their proxies.

According to sources, regime trucks were carrying nearly 2,300 landmines, including anti-tank mines, in order to be planted on the frontlines to prevent Turkish forces and their proxy factions from sneaking in case they attempted to storm the region and capture Aleppo-Al-Hasakah road “M4”.

SDF works on digging tunnels along the frontlines with Turkey and “Peace Spring” operation areas.
SOHR sources reported that SDF is digging 12-metre-deep tunnels under all frontlines in Kobani, Manbij and Ain Issa areas.
