Security campaign | SDF storm crossings used for smuggling in rural Deir Ezzor, confiscating large amounts of flour

Deir Ezzor province: Reliable sources have told SOHR that SDF patrols stormed river crossings between the banks of the Euphrates river in Al-Sabha town in eastern Deir Ezzor. The SDF confiscated large amounts of flour en route to areas controlled by regime forces and Iranian-backed militias on the opposite bank. This comes with the ongoing campaigns to confront smuggling operations in several areas in Deir Ezzor countryside.

On December 14, SOHR activists reported that SDF patrols stormed some houses in Al-Busayrah town in the early hours of Tuesday morning, arresting three officials in charge of river crossings used for smuggling goods from areas held by SDF to areas under the control of regime forces and Iranian-backed  militias via Euphrates river.
