Waiting for getting diesel allocation | Regime soldiers beat woman in front of petrol station in Deir Ezzor, while residents protest against corrupt employees of Fuel Department

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR activists have reported that dozens of residents from Deir Ezzor countryside have protested in front of the Fuel Department building in the industrial area in regime-held areas, north of Deir Ezzor city.

Residents protested against the corruption of employees of the “Department”, as they didn’t provide cards of the state-subsidized diesel allowances for heating in light of the high prices of diesel in markets where one barrel of diesel costs 200,000 Syrian Liras.

In the same context, the regime’s security forces have beat and insulted a woman while she was waiting in a queue to get diesel for heating at a petrol station in Al-Joura district in Deir Ezzor city, and took her to the security branch without explaining the reasons behind their act.

On December 11, Regime forces stationed at panorama checkpoint at the entrance to Deir Ezzor city arrested an official of Hisbah board of ISIS during its control over areas in Deir Ezzor province, following striking the reconciliation deal in Al-Mayadeen city.

SOHR sources said that the former official of Hisbah board showed his “reconciliation” card for the members in Panorama checkpoint after he was leaving Al-Mayadeen city and heading to Deir Ezzor city. He was severely beaten by regime forces, and they refused to recognize his “reconciliation” card, taking him to an unknown destination.
