SOHR: 3,746 SYRIANS WERE KILLED, INCLUDING CIVILIANS, DURING 2021

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights revealed that 3,746 people were killed in Syria during 2021, the lowest annual toll since the outbreak of the Syrian conflict more than ten years ago.
The observatory said that the outcome of the year 2021 includes 1,505 civilians, including 360 children, and that among the civilian deaths, 297 were killed as a result of the explosion of mines and explosive devices. About 600 members of ISIS and other factions were killed, compared to 158 of the Syrian Democratic Forces.
