Dear Ezzor |Residents gather near Al-Salihiya crossing to block Russian convoy

 

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR activists have monitored seeing a gathering of residents near Al-Salihiya crossing, which links SDF-controlled areas with regime-controlled areas, to prevent a Russian convoy from crossing into areas and villages under the control of the forces of Deir Ezzor Military Council of the Syrian Democratic Forces.

On November 20, Syrian Observatory for Human Rights activists monitored dozens of residents gathering at al-salihiya crossing connecting SDF-held areas and regime-controlled areas in northern Deir Ezzor, where protestors blocked the road to the crossing, expressing their rejection of the passing of Russian patrols in their areas.

On November 21, SOHR sources reported that gunmen opened fire on a Russian convoy of four armoured vehicles, escorted by helicopters, while it was traveling on the road to Abu Khashab to al-salihiya crossing connecting SDF-held areas and regime-controlled areas in northern Deir Ezzor. According to SOHR sources, the gunfire left no casualties.

Meanwhile, tens of the residents set fire to rubber tires near al-Ma’amel roundabout near al-Salihiyyah crossing, expressing their rejection of the passing of Russian patrols in their areas.
