Renewed airstrikes | Russian jets attack “de-escalation zone” in north of Idlib

SOHR activists have reported that three airstrikes by Russian fighter jet hit the vicinity of Maarat Masrin city, north of Idlib. However, no casualties have been reported.

This bombardment comes 14 days after the recent attack by Russian jets on the “de-escalation” zone.

On December 11, SOHR activists documented the death of a civilian and the injury of 12 others three airstrikes by a Russian fighter jet on Al-Yaqoubiyan area in the countryside of Jisr Al-Shughour city, in the western countryside of Idlib.

On December 6, SOHR activists reported that a Russian fighter jet has executed two airstrikes on Al-Barah town in Jabal al-Zawiyah in the southern Idlib countryside, where Turkish bases and posts are located. No casualties were reported.

These airstrikes coincided with the ongoing flying of Russian fighter jets over the de-escalation zone.
