Security chaos in SDF areas | Gunmen assassinate civilian in Deir Ezzor countryside

 

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR activists have reported that two unidentified gunmen on motorbikes have shot a civilian in Shaqra town western of Deir Ezzor province, causing head injuries and his immediate death.

The gunmen shouted “This is revenge” after killing the civilian and asked nearby civilians to not interfere.

The victim was from Al-Bu Amr town eastern of Deir Ezzor under the control of Syrian regime, and he didn’t belong to any political or military faction.

These developments came in light of the ongoing security chaos, weapons widespread and increased activity of ISIS cells in SDF-held areas.

As more fatalities are recorded and updated regularly, the number of people who were killed in areas within the four provinces of Aleppo, Deir Ezzor, Al-Raqqah and Al-Hasakah, in addition to the SDF-held area of Manbij in the north-east of Aleppo rose to 844 fighters, civilians, oil workers, and officials in service parties.
The Syrian Observatory documented the assassination of 317 civilians including 20 children and 20 women by armed cells in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, al-Hasakah countryside, al-Raqqah city and countryside, and Manbij area. In addition, 522 SDF fighters, including local leaders, were assassinated in the same areas.
Also, four members of International Coalition were killed. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights Human also documented tens of injuries due to these assassinations.
