Ongoing violations in Afrin | National army fell 300 olive trees in Sharan district and impose levies on cars

Aleppo Province: SOHR activists have reported that Turkish-backed factions continued their violations against properties of people who have been forced to displace by “Olive Branch” operation through cutting down fruit-bearing trees to sell them as “fire logs.

In this context, SOHR activists have reported that factions of the “National Army” cut down about  270 olive trees in  Alaka and Kafroum in Sharan district and Qarah Tabeh village in Afrin, in addition to felling hundreds of fruit-bearing trees in the area between Haj Qassem and Mast Ashour in Ma’abatli district.

In this context,  members of “Al-Jabah Al-Shamyah” stationed at checkpoints at the entrance of Azaz city  and Kafr Jannah in Afrin countryside, have imposed  levies of 100 Turkish liras on cars and trucks and 50 Turkish liras on private cars coming from Idlib, whose plates issued by the HTS-backed “Salvation Government”.

Meanwhile, the Ahfad Al-Rasoul faction, which controls “Hassan Dera” village  cut down more than 160 olive trees belonging to a displaced man, in addition to seizing about 400 grape and apple trees owned by a displaced man. In addition, the faction imposed levies of 25% of olives harvest on people in the village
