Intercepted by regime soldiers | U.S convoy changes route heading to Al-Hasakah countryside

Al-Hasakah province: SOHR activists have reported that members of regime’s military checkpoint have intercepted a U.S convoy comprising four armoured vehicles in Qubor Al-Gharanja village in the countryside of Tel Tamr town north western to Al-Hasakah. The military convoy was forced to change its course towards Al-Hasakah countryside.

According to sources, this is the ninth time that U.S convoys get intercepted in the region since December.

On December 26, regime soldiers, at a checkpoint in Shuwaish farm in the countryside of Tel Tamr village in the northwestern countryside of Al-Hasakah province, intercepted a convoy of four armoured vehicles, forcing US convoy to drive down another route.

On December 20, in a scene that had been repeated almost daily since early December, SOHR activists reported that a regime checkpoint intercepted a US patrol in Tel Al-Dhahab village in southern Al-Qamishli countryside.

This incident coincided with the interception of five US military vehicles that attempted to cross Mansaf Tahtani village in Tel Tamr countryside, northwest of Al-Hasakah by another regime checkpoint. However, no quarrels between the regime and the United States forces erupted.

On December 18, SOHR activists reported that regime-backed National Defense Forces with the participation of some regime loyalists prevented a US patrol from passing through Mansaf Tahtani village in Tel Tamr countryside, northwest of Hasakah.
