Over 40 airstrikes in December | Russian jets renew striking positions in “Putin-Erdogan” area

SOHR activists have reported that Russian fighter jets have renewed their airstrikes on “Putin-Erdogan” area, targeting the vicinity of Mashoun village and vicinity of Kansafra village in Jabal Al-Zawiyah in the southern Idlib countryside. Accordingly, the number of Russian airstrikes since morning has risen to 11.

Observatory sources had reported that Russian fighter jets executed nearly eight airstrikes on Idlib countryside, targeting positions in Kansafra, Al-Bara in Jabal Al-Zawiyah, the surrounding areas of Kafr Daryan in the northern countryside of Idlib, the surrounding areas of Al-Jadidah town in the northern countryside of Idlib in the north of Jisr Al-Shughour city and Al-Namerah area in Sahl Al-Rouj in Idlib countryside.

 

It is worth noting that the airstrikes which targeted a “poultry farm” nearby Kafr Daryan on the Syria border with Iskenderun left two civilians dead and six others injured.

 

Accordingly, the number of Russian airstrikes on the “de-escalation zone” since early December has exceeded 40, as the Russian fighter jets targeted positions in the surrounding areas of Al-Bara town, the surrounding areas of Al-Ya’qoubiyyah village, the surrounding areas of Maarrat Masrin, Sheikh Bahr, Kafr Arouq, the surrounding areas of Kafr Daryan, Mashoun in Idlib countryside, the surrounding areas of Darat Izza and Jabal Sheikh Barakat in the western countryside of Aleppo.
